Are you on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress?  Brides.com has announced their Spring 2013 wedding dress trends based on the recent runway shows.  One wedding dress trend on the list I absolutely love is the portrait back wedding dress.  As you can see they mirror some of the vintage wedding dresses from years ago but with a modern twist.

One of the reasons I love interesting back detail on a wedding dresses is that the back of your dress is such a focal point. If you think about the ceremony, the majority of the ceremony your guests will be looking at your back.  At the reception as you are dancing the night away with your husband, they will also be looking at your back…get my point? I love that you can take a simple, classic wedding dress from the front and make it fabulous with the portrait back.

Many of these dresses have an illusion (sheer) back with intricate crystal or lace detailing giving a classic look with a modern feel.
